What the drift test measures
Same game as the drift test, with the easy rounds removed. You start on eight tiles that are already drifting, click 1 to hide the numbers, and track the rest while they bounce around the board.
This is a practice page for the moving-target hacks that gate crime on GTA roleplay servers. Most people clear four or five here against six or seven on the standard version, because the opening round is already past the point where tracking breaks down.
Benchmento is not affiliated with Rockstar Games, NoPixel or any roleplay server. This is an original implementation of a well known puzzle type.
What counts as a good round
| Cleared | Standing |
|---|---|
| 4 – 5 | Getting started |
| 6 – 7 | About average |
| 8 – 9 | Good |
| 10 – 12 | Very good |
| 13 – 15 | Exceptional |
| 16+ | Rare |
| Test | Typical | Why it differs |
|---|---|---|
| Chimp Test | 9 – 10 | Tiles stay put, so a pattern can be memorised |
| Drift Test | 6 – 7 | Tiles move, so only the objects can be tracked |
How to hold more of them
- Play the standard version first. Eight moving objects is beyond what most people can track. Learning the habits on four tiles transfers; starting here mostly teaches you to panic.
- Give up on two of them deliberately. Trying to hold all eight usually costs you all eight. Pick five or six to track properly and accept a guess at the end.
- Use the pre-click time. The tiles move before you click 1, and the numbers stay visible. That is the only look you get, so spend it.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the normal drift test?
Only the starting size. Bank Buster begins at eight tiles instead of four. The rules, scoring and percentile curve are the same.
Is this from GTA?
It is an independent recreation of the moving-target puzzle type used in roleplay servers, built from a description of the mechanics. It is not affiliated with Rockstar Games, NoPixel or any server.
What is a good score here?
Clearing four or five rounds is solid. The standard version starts easier, so scores there run higher and are not directly comparable.
