Puzzles

Longer games with no clock on them. Play at your own pace, leave and come back.

These are the games without a timer pointing at you. Some have a clock running for your own record, but nothing here ends because time ran out. Sudoku, Minesweeper, 2048, solitaire and the rest are yours to sit with.

Anything you leave half finished is kept. Come back to a Sudoku grid, a word search or a solitaire deal and you are offered the choice to continue where you were or start something new. That state lives in your browser, not on a server.

Two of them run on a daily cycle. The word puzzle gives everyone the same answer each day at four, five and six letters, and there is a practice mode for unlimited play that deliberately does not count. Everything else is generated fresh whenever you want it, including every Sudoku grid, which is verified to have exactly one solution so it can always be finished by logic rather than guessing.

Common questions

Are unfinished puzzles saved?

Yes. Sudoku, Minesweeper, 2048, Memory Match, word search and Klondike all keep an unfinished game in your browser and offer you the choice to continue or start fresh.

Is every Sudoku solvable without guessing?

Yes. The generator removes clues one at a time and checks after each removal that exactly one solution still exists, so every grid can be finished by logic alone.

How does the daily word puzzle work?

Everyone gets the same answer on the same day, at four, five and six letters, with six guesses each. Finishing the daily keeps your streak, win or lose. Practice mode is unlimited and deliberately does not count toward anything.

Do the puzzles have percentiles like the benchmark tests?

No. Percentiles need a published distribution to compare against, and these do not have one. Puzzles track your own best times and move counts instead.

Can I play these offline?

Yes, once you have visited. The site caches itself, so puzzles work without a connection and your progress is stored locally either way.
