Every spin drops 49 symbols onto a 7×7 board. Five or more of the same symbol touching side to side or up and down make a cluster and pay. Winning symbols explode, the ones above fall into the gaps and new symbols drop in, so one spin can keep paying several times in a row.
The squares are where the big wins come from. When a symbol explodes, its square is marked. If another symbol explodes on that square it turns into a 2x multiplier, and every explosion after that doubles it: 4x, 8x, 16x, all the way to 2048x. A cluster sitting on multiplier squares is paid at their total.
