2 Second Click Test

Click as fast as you can for 2 seconds. The timer starts on your first click.

What this test measures

Two seconds sits between a pure burst and a real test. It is long enough that a single mistimed click no longer dominates the result, and short enough that your rate never has time to decline.

This is the shortest duration that produces a repeatable number. If you run it five times you should see your results cluster within about half a click per second of each other, which is not true at one second.

Expect 6.5 to 8.5 clicks per second. Because there is no fatigue component at all, scores here should sit close to your one second rate and comfortably above your ten second rate.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good CPS on a 2 second test?

Typical is around 6 clicks per second on this duration, and 8+ is a good result. Those figures apply to 2 seconds specifically and not to any other length.

Why does my 2 second score differ from my 1 second score?

Because the two lengths measure different capacities. A 2 second run leaves no room for fatigue, so it reads close to your peak motor rate. Typical on 1 seconds is 7 – 9, which is why each duration carries its own scoring curve here.

How many total clicks is that over 2 seconds?

At the typical rate you would land roughly 12 to 14 clicks in the full run. The result screen shows your exact total alongside the rate.

Does the timer start when the page loads?

No, it starts on your first click. Reading this page costs you nothing and the full 2 seconds is available for clicking.
